Coco Gauff told the supervisor that she feels ‘constantly cheated on’ after the American lost to Donna Vekic in the third round of the Olympics.

The American lost 7-6(7) 6-2 to the Wimbledon semi-finalist as she was erratic during the match.

In the first set Gauff overcame an early deficit but lost a tight first set tiebreak 9-7.

The second set saw a tighter affair but a controversial call came in the second set with the score at 3-2 which eventually lead to Vekic breaking on two consecutive occasions to claim victory.

However that was not the main news story of the match as Gauff was fuming with the line-call as she wanted to speak to the supervisor.

In her on-court rant Gauff said that she feels ‘constantly cheated on’ hinting that it has happened to her on more than one occasion this year, “It’s not even perception. It’s the rules…I feel like I’m constantly getting cheated,” Gauff was quoted by teen vogue as telling the supervisor.

“You don’t understand, I have to always advocate for myself on this court. You guys are not fair to me and I hope one day the game becomes fair, but it’s not.”

What Gauff is referring to is a similar incident happening at Roland Garros during her semi-final with Iga Swiatek where Gauff was reduced to tears just like she was today.

Now Gauff will hope to regain her composure as she has the women’s doubles with Jessica Pegula and the mixed doubles with Taylor Fritz.

As for Vekic the Croatian will now face Maria Sakkari or Marta Kostyuk in the last eight as she is one win away from a medal match.
