Iga Swiatek has praised her team and preparation after reaching the Stuttgart semi-finals with a 6-4 6-4 win over Emma Raducanu.

Swiatek was too good for the US Open champion as she claimed her 21st consecutive victory with a straight sets win.

The Pole is looking for her fourth consecutive title this week in Germany and broke the Brit on three occasions to reach the last four.

After the match the former Roland Garros champion praised her team and spoke how her preparation has been vital in her recent winning streak, “I am doing everything well to prepare and recover after each round,” the 10 year-old told Reuters.

“It’s huge work, honestly, (from) me and my team. It looks like I am going with the flow but behind it, it is hard work. Honestly, just step by step. (I’m) not thinking about what’s happened and what’s going to happen. I’m just focusing on the next match.”

Swiatek also spoke about the game-plan against Raducanu and told the press about how balancing aggression with solidity is crucial at this time in the clay court swing, “I think (it was) just about balancing the risk I was taking with some sort of games,” Swiatek admitted.

“I played more solid and less risky sometimes, but on the other hand, also aggressively. So, when I balanced that act, it was pretty good.”

Swiatek now leads the tour with 28 wins this season and has not dropped a set in 13 matches with Angelique Kerber being the last player to be able to take the Pole to a deciding set.

The Pole will now take on big-hitting Russian Liudmila Samsonova in the semi-finals as she looks to keep building momentum towards Roland Garros.

In the other semi-final third seed Aryna Sabalenka will take on second seed Paula Badosa, who will become the new world number two next week.

Sabalenka v Badosa is the first semi-final which takes place at 13:00 BST.
