The site and surface for the 2018 Davis Cup World Group First Round tie between Australia and Germany has been confirmed.
Australia are the home team, and have selected Brisbane and the Pat Rafter Arena as the venue for the encounter. The matches will all be played on hard courts.
The Pat Rafter Arena normally holds up to 5,500 people, with additional temporary seating available that could bring the total up to 7,000.
With both teams hoping to do well, the arena is sure to provide a raucous atmosphere as befitting two countries with rich tennis histories between them.
The tie will be played in the first weekend of February, ensuring players will not have far to go to travel from the Australian Open grand slam tournament in Melbourne, if they are taking part.
Defending champions France take on the Netherlands the same weekend, Great Britain face Spain, and the United States’ will do battle with Serbia in other first round ties.
