Petra Kvitova has announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend Radek Meidl, a Czech ice hockey player who plays for the Jestrabi Prostejov team. Kvitova, twice Wimbledon champion and 2015 Fed Cup champion, did not give the wedding date. Kvitova lost to Agnieszka Radwanska in the title match of the WTA Finals in Singapore last October.
In another off-court news Marcos Baghdatis has announced that his wife Karolina Sprem (a former WTA player from Croatia) has given birth to their baby daughter.
