French tennis star Richard Gasquet was at the Stade de France last Friday during the football match between France and Germany as terrorist attacks unfolded in Paris. A series of explosions happened around the Stade de France during the match between France and Germany.
“I was at the Grand Journal before, so I arrived at the stadium with a bit of a delay. The match had already started. I had heard some unbelievable sounds in les Parc au Princes but this was obviously something else. It was not a sound. It was a blast. I was in a box suite, so there was the television and we could see what was happening in other parts of Paris. Following the third explosion, there was an evacuation but many people stayed in the stadium. They were very memorable matches”, told Gasquet to the French sports newspaper L’Equipe.
