Cuevas is in action in his nation’s capital

Montevideo: Pablo Cuevas and Diego Schartzmann are the top two seeds in Uruguay. Kyle Edmund also plays after his title run in Buenos Aires, he will play a qualifier in the first round. Guido Pella, Inigo Cervantes, and Carlos Berlocq are all in attendance. Cervantes appears to have the toughest draw, as he will face young Brazilian Guilherme Clezar in the first round.

Champaign: The top seed is once again Malek Jaziri, who has endured opening round losses in his last two events. He faces a young American for third consecutive week. This time it is Noah Rubin. Ryan Harrison will be looking for a return to form, after early defeats, and second seed Austin Krajicek appears to have a straightforward draw all the way to the semi-finals. Dennis Novikov and Frances Tiafoe will be looking to upset seeds in round one. They face John-Patrick Smith and Alejandro Falla respectively. An intriguing encounter between Tiafoe and Tommy Paul is possible in the second round.

Yokohama: John Millman once again headlines, as the Australian looks for his fourth challenger title of the year. Matthew Ebden and Taro Daniel also join the field. There is further home strength from the likes of Yuichi Sugita, and Tatsumo Ito. Duckhee Lee is once again the young name to keep an eye out for. He starts against Yasutaka Uchiyama.

Brescia: The most star-studded challenger event of the week takes place in Italy. Top seed Sergiy Stakhovsky’s first round match-up with Edouard Roger-Vasselin is the highest profile meeting of the first round. Ricardas Berankis, fresh off winning Ortisei, is the second seed, and challenger specialist Dudi Sela is also playing. Egor Gerasimov receives a special exemption into the event after his stunning win in Bratislava.
