Five-time China Open Novak Djokovic cruised to a 6-1 6-1 win over last week’s Shenzhen quarter finalist Simone Bolelli in his debut at the ATP 500 in Beijing.
This year’s three time Grand Slam champion Djokovic went up a double break en route to a 5-1 lead. Djokovic saved four break points in the final game of the first set before sealing the first set with 6-1
Bolelli held his serve to 30 in the first game before earning a break point. Djokovic broke serve in the next game for 2-1. The World Number 1 got two more breaks to close out the match in 1 hour and 11 minutes taking his 25th consecutive win in Beijing. He earned two match points on Bolelli’s serve and got the break as Bolelli could not control a backhand. Nole fended off all the five break points he faced and hit winners to 14 unforced errors
