Carlos Alcaraz faces a tough draw ahead of a potential semi-final showdown with Jannik Sinner at the US Open.
The Spaniard has won the US Open before and enters the tournament in New York having won the last two Grand Slam events.
However if Alcaraz is to win a third consecutive Grand Slam title he will have to overcome a very tricky draw which starts against a qualifier.
Alcaraz could then face Denis Shapovalov in the second round before facing Jack Draper in the third round.
Sebastian Korda could await in the fourth round before a potential quarter-final with either Hubert Hurkacz or Alex De Minaur.
In the semi-finals Alcaraz could set up a blockbuster showdown with world number one Jannik Sinner with the Italian facing Mackenzie McDonald in the opening round.
Sinner could then face the in-form Alex Michelsen in the second round before a third round clash with Nicolas Jarry.
A dangerous fourth round against Tommy Paul awaits Sinner before a quarter-final with former champion Daniil Medvedev or Stefanos Tsitsipas.
In an eye-catching opening round Tsitsipas will play Thanasi Kokkinakis before potentially playing Felix Auger-Aliassime in the third round.
Auger-Aliassime will play rising start Jakub Mensik in the opening round while Medevdev takes on Dusan Lajovic in the first round.
In the bottom half of the draw, defending champion Novak Djokovic will take on a qualifier in the opening round before Jan-Lennard Struff and Montreal champion Alexei Popyrin await in the opening week.
In the fourth round Djokovic could take on Ben Shelton in a repeat of last year’s semi-final but the American will have to face Dominic Thiem in the opening round.
Shelton could face Frances Tiafoe in the third round while Grigor Dimitrov and Andrey Rublev also lurk in this quarter of the draw.
Finally Holger Rune’s opening round match with Brandon Nakashima headlines the third quarter of the draw with Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti all featuring.
The main draw gets underway on Monday.
