Former British No 1 Greg Rusedski is to coach Victoria Azarenka until at least the end of the US Open, I’m told.

After the US Open, the duo will decide whether to make it a long-term partnership or whether to end the collaboration.
Rusedski was a former US Open finalist in 1997 and reached a career high of world number four.
Meanwhile Azarenka has reached the final of the US Open on three occasions with her more recent run to the final being in 2020 when she lost to Naomi Osaka.
Azarenka has had a decent start to the year with semi-final runs at Miami and Berlin as well as quarter-final results in Rome and Washington.
However the world number 19 has been disappointing at Grand Slams and will be hoping Rusedski can change the 35 year-old’s fortunes.
The US Open starts on the 26th of August.
