Number 2 seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe rallied from one set down to beat Asia Muhammad and Alycia Parks 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 10-4 reaching the final of doubles final of the Miami Open.
Muhammad and Parks broke serve in the eighth game to take a 5-3 lead. Dabrowski and Routliffe converted their third break-back point in the ninth game and held serve to love to draw level to 5-5. Muhammad and Parks earned three mini-breaks to win the tie-break 7-4.
Muhammad and Parks broke serve in the fifth game to take a 4-2 lead. Dabrowski and Routliffe won four consecutive games to claim the second set 6-4. Dabrowski and Routliffe earned four mini-breaks to win the Match Tie-Break 10-4.
Dabrowski and Routliffe will face either Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini or Sofia Kenin and Bethanie Matthek Sands.
Dabrowski and Routliffe won the US Open and Zhengzhou, reached the Guadalajara final and qualified for the WTA Finals in Cancun. In this year’s edition of the Miami Open they beat Guo Hanyu and Ukkrike Ekeri, Miyu Kato and Aldila Sutjadi, Ashlyn Krueger and Sloane Stephen Stephens in the quarter final, Muhammad and Parks in the semifinal.Muhammad and Parks beat Beatriz Haddad Maia and Taylor Townsend, Shuko Aoyama and Aleksandra Krunic and Anhelina Kalinina and Dayana Yastremska.
