ATP announced the 2025 ATP Calendar, which features a total of 60 tournaments across 29 countries expanded ATP Masters 1000 tournaments.
The most significant chance is the expansion of the two Masters 1000 tournaments on North American soil (the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers and Cincinnati Open). These two events will expand to 12-day events in 2025. Seven of the nine Masters 1000 tournaments will have the 12-day format, following the expansion of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome, the Madrid Mutua Open and the Rolex Shanghai Masters. The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters and Paris Bercy are the only two single week Masters 1000 tournaments in 2025.
The calendar includes the upgrade of three ATP tournaments (the Dallas Open, the Qatar Exxon Mobil Open in Doha and the BMW Open in Munich), which has increased of ATP 500 events to 16 over the year.
The season will end with the fifth edition of the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, the third edition of the Next Gen Finals in Jeddah and the Davis Cup Finals.
The Hamburg Open will be rescheduled from July to May.
The Cordoba Open will be relocated to Mallorca in the lead-up to Wimbledon.
The Mitel Tennis Open by Telcel Open in Los Cabos will be rescheduled from February to July.
The Estoril tournament does not currently feature in the calendar. The ATP and the Portuguese tournament are continuing to explore all possibilities to try to find a solution for the event to take place in 2025.
“Next season will see more enhancements to the ATP Tour across a streamlined calendar. This is central to everything we have been building under OneVision, which ultimately aims to create the best possible experience for our fans. Last season we broke new ground, welcoming a record five million fans on site across our events. This is just one indication of how positively the sport is trending and we believe there is incredible potential to be unlocked”, said ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi.
