Rune lost in the fourth round at the 2023 Australian Open and will make his debut at the Kooyong tournament.
The line-up is completed by former Australian Open champion Stan Wawrinka, a finalist at the Kooyong tournament in 2009, former Australian Open finalist Dominic Thiem, who took part at this event twice, including in 2023, and Zhizhen Zhang, who became the first Chinese player to reach the quarter final at a Masters 1000 tournament.
