Jannik Sinner has been voted the Fans’ Favourite singles player in the ATP Awards.

Sinner won four ATP Tour titles in 2023 in Montpellier, at the Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto and two ATP 500 tournaments in Beijing and Vienna. He also reached the title match at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, the final in Miami, the semifinals in Indian Wells, Monte-Carlo and Wimbledon. Sinner held a 64-15 tour-level match in 2023 and finished the season at a career-high number 4 in the ATP Rankings, tying Adriano Panatta as the highest ranked Italian player in ATP Ranking history. Sinner reached the quarter finals at all four Grand Slam tournaments in his young career. He lost to Djokovic in the semifinal at Wimbledon one year after losing against his Serbian rival in the quarter final at this tournament after holding a two-set lead. Sinner beat Djokovic at the ATP Finals in Turin in a third set tie-break to clinch his fifth top 5 in a row. One week later Sinner saved three match points in the third set to beat Novak Djokovic in the Davis Cup semifinal. Sinner became the fourth player to beat Djokovic from match points down and the first one to do so with three in a row. Sinner teamed up with Lorenzo Sonego for the decisive doubles match, defeating Djokovic and Miomir Kecmanovic to clinch the tie and help Italy reach the Davis Cup final for the first time since 1998.

Sinner beat Australia’s Alex De Minaur in straight sets to clinch the Davis Cup title for the second time after 47 years.

During the ATP Finals in Turin Sinner received a strong support from the “Carota Boys”, who have become in the tennis world for showing up at tournaments in carrot costumes.

Sinner won the Newcomer of the Year Award in 2019 and has been nominated for two player-voted ATP awards this season: Most Improved Player of the Year and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmaship Award. Sinner’s coaches Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill for the Coach of the Year Award.

Roger Federer won the Fans’ Favourite Award a record 19 times. Rafael Nadal won this award for the first time in his career last year.
