Taylor Fritz and Jessica Pegula lead a star-studded line-up in Washington as the journey to the US Open intensifies this week.
The first big stop on the road to the US Open happens next week when both the ATP and WTA host 500 events in Washington D.C.
They will be headlined by top seeds Taylor Fritz and Jessica Pegula who will look to build momentum.
Fritz will face a qualifier or Max Purcell in his opening round before potentially facing Andy Murray in the third round.
The American’s potential quarter-final could be Christopher Eubanks or Adrian Mannarino although both players may have to face Kei Nishikori and Kevin Anderson respectively.
Other big names that headline the ATP event are Grigor Dimitrov, Alexander Bublik, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Sebastian Korda and Washington’s own Frances Tiafoe.
On the women’s side, former champion Jessica Pegula headlines the field where she will look to build momentum towards her home Grand Slam.
Pegula will begin her campaign against either in-form Sofia Kenin or a qualifier.
The top seed then could play Daria Kasatkina in the last eight or Elina Svitolina, who has a Wimbledon rematch with Victoria Azarenka in her opening match.
Other key names that are playing in Washington are Maria Sakkari, Madison Keys, Belinda Bencic, Coco Gauff and Caroline Garcia.
Play starts in the nation’s capital on Monday with qualifying beginning on Saturday afternoon UK time.
