Stan Wawrinka rallies from one set down to beat Andrey Rublev at the Diriyah Tennis Cup

Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka becomes the first semifinalist at the Diriyah Tennis Cup in Saudi Arabia with a 6-7 (3-7) 6-3 10-6 win over Andrey Rublev. 

Wawrinka came back from losing the first set to win the second set 6-3 with two breaks of serve in the first and third games. The Swiss player won the decisive super tie-break 10-6. 

Earlier today Wawrinka had beaten Matteo Berrettini 5-10 10-4 10-6. The pre-quarter final matches were played as best of three super tie-breaks. 

Danil Medvedev beat Alexander Zverev 6-4 6-0. Medvedev broke three times to take a bagel win in the first set. Zverev broke serve in the third game to open up a 3-1 lead. Medvedev broke back to draw level to 3-3. Medvedev earned his second break in the 10th game to win the second set 6-4. 

Cameron Norrie beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4 6-4 in the third quarter final. Norrie earned his first break at love in the third game and held his serve to open up a 3-1 lead. Tsitsipas saved three break points to hold serve in the ninth game for 4-5. Norrie held his fourth consecutive service game to close out the first set 6-4. 

Norrie converted his third break point in the third game and saved two break points to hold serve after two deuces to take a 3-1 lead. The British player held his next three service games to seal the second set 6-4. Taylor Fritz beat Hubert Hurkacz 7-6 (7-3) 7-5. Both players went on serve en route to tie-break. Fritz won the final three points to seal the tie-break 7-3. Fritz saved three break points in the second game of the second set before breaking serve in the seventh game to take a 4-3 lead. Hurkacz broke back in the 10th game at deuce to draw level to 5-5, but Fritz earned his second break in the 11th game to close out the second set 7-5.
