Matteo Berrettini has moved into the semifinals of the Napoli Tennis Cup with a 6-2 6-3 win over Taro Daniel in Neaples.
Berrettini broke serve in the first game of the opening set. The Italian player earned two double break points in the third game, but Daniel saved them. Berrettini went up a double break for 5-2 and held serve at love to close out the first set 6-2.

Berrettini set up a semifinal against Mackenzie McDonald, who beat Zhizhen Zhang 4-6 6-3 6-3.
“I think I was aggressive from the very first game. I got the break early in the first set and I felt confident. I did not give him the time to organize or let him make me move too much. We played each other many times, so I knew what to expect from him, and my plan worked really well”, said Berrettini.
Lorenzo Musetti broke serve four times in his 6-3 6-0 win over Daniel Elahi Galan in 78 minutes.
Musetti won eight of the first nine points to break serve in the second game. The Hamburg title champion saved four break points to hold serve at deuce for 2-1.
Musetti closed the first set 6-3 on his fifth set point. He went up a double break on his fifth opportunity in the third game after a very long game to open up a 3-0 lead. Galan was not able to earn three break points, before Musetti broke for the third time in the fifth game and sealed the win with a smash on the match point.
Miomir Kecmanovic converted four of his seven break points in his 7-5 6-2 win over Pablo Carreno Busta to reach his third ATP Tour level semifinal of the season. The Serbian player now leads 2-0 in his head-to-head matches against Carreno Busta.
