Bernabe Zapata Miralles beat Lorenzo Sonego 6-4 6-4 after 1 hour and 34 minutes to set up a second round match against Lorenzo Musetti at the UniCredit Open in Florence.

Zapata Miralles earned an early break in the first game and held serve with a drop shot in the fourth game to take a 3-1 lead. The Spanish player saved the first break point at 2-3 with his first break.
Sonego saved a set point at 3-5 to hold serve at deuce to hold serve. Zapata Miralles served out the first set at love in the 10th game.
Zapata Miralles went up a double break to take a 4-1 lead. Sonego pulled one break back in the sixth game and held serve at deuce to close the gap to 3-4. Zapata Miralles made a double fault, but he closed out the match with a hold at 15.
US Next Gen star Brandon Nakashima beat Richard Gasquet 6-2 6-2 with two breaks in each set.
Oscar Otte came back from one set down to beat Marton Fucsovics 3-6 6-4 6-2 in the first round. Otte converted all of his three break points in his first head-to-head match against Fucsovics. The German player set up a second round matchagainst top seed Felix Auger Aliassime.
Fucsovics broke twice in the first and ninth games to win the opening set 6-3. Both players went on serve until the ninth game when Otte earned his only break to seal the second set 6-4. Otte broke twice in the first and seventh games to close out the third set 6-2.
Mikael Ymer eased past Tim Van Rijthoven 6-1 6-2 with two breaks in each set setting up a second round match against Aslan Karatsev. Ymer beat Jannik Sinner in the Davis Cup Group Stage and reached his seventh ATP Tour indoor court quarter final in Metz.
