Casper Ruud is the Gonet Geneva Open champion after beating the world number 15 Denis Shapovalov 7-6, 6-4 in one hour and 41 minutes to win his second ATP title.
It was a battle of the number two against the number three seed at the tournament and the entire first set went on serve and the set would be decided by a tiebreaker.
In the breaker it was the Norwegian who would earn the first break of serve to take a 4-2 lead and would make it to 6-2 before the Toronto native would win four points in a row to make it 6-6 before Ruud would win the next two points to win the breaker and the first set.
