Andrey Rublev is closing the gap on this year’s Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic and 2020 ATP Finals champion Danil Medvedev in this year’s ATP Race to Turin.

Rublev won his eighth career title and his fourth ATP 500 trophy in Rotterdam and reached the quarter finals at the Australian Open semifinal at the Masters 1000 tournament in Miami. The Russian player has reached the quarter finals or better all his six tournaments in 2021. He is currently ranked third with 1880 points and is just 330 points away from leader Novak Djokovic.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is currently ranked fourth in the ATP Race to Turin after reaching the final in Acapulco and the quarter finals in Miami. The Greek player has got through to his third Grand Slam semifinal at last February’s Australian Open.

Hubert Hurkacz has claimed the biggest title of his career in Miami beating Jannik Sinner, becoming the first Polish player in history to win an ATP Masters 1000.

Hurkacz has moved up by 13 places to reach fifth place in the Race to Turin. The Pole beat Denis Shapovalov, Milos Raonic, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev en route to reaching the final in Miami. Hurkacz already won another title in Delray Beach last January beating Sebastian Korda. He is the third Polish player in history to reach the top 20 in the ATP Ranking after Wijciech Fibak and Jerzy Janowicz.

Sinner enjoyed a major breakthrough in Miami, where he beat Karen Khachanov, Emil Ruusuvuori, Alexander Bublik and Roberto Bautista Agut en route to his first Masters 1000 final.

The Italian 19-year-old Next Gen star currently sits in seventh place in the Race to Turin. Sinner claimed his second career title at the Great Ocean Road Open in Melbourne beating Stefano Travaglia.

Roberto Bautista Agut has moved up to ninth in the Race to Turin with 765 points, just 170 behind 2018 ATP Finals champion Alexander Zverev.
