Talented teenagers Amanda Anisimova and Felix Auger-Aliassime have earned wildcards into next week’s tournament in Indian Wells.
The 17 year-old Anisimova recently reached the fourth round at the Australian Open and has risen to a career high of world number 59. Her performance at last year’s tournament also ensured her place in the main draw of this year’s edition.
In addition to Anisimova, Auckland finalist Bianca Andreescu also earned a wildcard for the women’s draw after her great start to the season.
The 18 year-old is currently ranked 71 in the world and will be looking to be one of the dangerous tournaments at next week’s tournament.
As for the men, another 18 year-old Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime has earned a wildcard after his impressive South American clay court swing.
After reaching the final at the ATP 500 event in Rio De Janeiro he rose to 60 in the world and will look to impress on the hard courts of California.
Other male main draw wildcards include Rio winner Laslo Djere, New York champion Reilly Opelka and Donald Young.

The main draw starts on Wednesday for the women, with the men’s draw starting on Thursday. The top 32 seeds, who have a first round bye, won’t play until Friday/Saturday.
The defending champions are Juan Martin Del Potro and Naomi Osaka although Del Potro won’t be competing in the Californian heat next week.
