That Yorkshire accent
This year there was only one journalist that everybody was talking about at the French Open. After Alexander Zverev’s second round match, he formed an unlikely fondness of the Yorkshire accent. This was because of a question asked by Jonathan Pinfield, who was covering the tournament on behalf of LiveSport FM. The humorous exchange between the two resulted in instant fame for Pinfield.

Following his quarter-final loss to Dominic Thiem, Zverev said Pinfield was the only guy ‘that made him smile’ afterwards.
