Former Wimbledon semifinalist Anna Kournikova and her longtime boyfriend Enrique Iglesias have become parents to twins, a son and a daughter, American website TMZ reported.

Russian beauty, Kournikova, who has been dating the Spanish singer after the pair appeared together in his music video Escape in 2001, became proud parents of a boy named Nicholas and a girl named Lucy, born in Miami over the weekend.

The former World No. 8, who never won a WTA singles title and her superstar beau, kept the news of Anna’s pregnancy completely a secret.

Kournikova, 36, and Enrique, 42, known for hits like ‘Bailamos,’ ‘Be With You,’ ‘Escape’ and ‘Hero‘  have kept their relationship out of public glare for more than a year, hardly seen in public ever since speculation mounted about the status of their relationship last year. The couple has never contemplated marriage, even though the two have been in a romantic relationship for more than 16 years.

On Saturday, Kournikova put up three photographs on social networking site Instagram, including a photo of herself on a luxury boat. Captioning the photo with the tag ‘no filter needed’, the Moscow-born diva’s upper body was visibly covered by Enrique’s jacket the singer recently wore during a concert tour.

In 2016, speculation was rife that the pair had got married, but Enrique denied it in an interview in the summer of 2017 by saying that he and Kournikova had no plans to wed in the immediate future.

He told The Sun newspaper: “We’re just as happy. There comes a point when you’ve been with someone for a certain amount of time that I believe that you are like, married. I guess the only difference is that we haven’t walked down the aisle.”

Enrique added: ‘I’ve never really thought marriage would make a difference. Maybe it’s because I come from divorced parents, but I don’t think you love someone more because of a piece of paper. And nowadays it’s not taboo to have kids and not be married. What makes a difference is that you’re a good parent.”
