The former world number 14 gave an update to his fans about his ongoing knee issue.
Speaking on Instagram Live, Janowicz spoke about his current injury struggles and how frustrated he was when he further damaged his knee at the Szczecin challenger.
Here is what the Pole had to say on the matter:
‘I am currently taking strong drugs and steroids for treatment. I will play until I can no longer withstand the pain, only then I will have knee surgery.’
Janowicz also complained about the tension of his racket that week as he felt he was harshly sabotaged, ‘I am so upset that some useless moron can’t do the tension of my tennis racket properly, I was in such good form in Szczecin.’
The Pole is clearly not happy with his the state of his knee as he has suffered this injury for a long time. However he is adamant on playing until he is forced into knee surgery.
He was also unhappy with the tension of his racket and clearly feels that he had a genuine chance of winning last week if the problem with his racket didn’t occur. This could be a disguised dig at the Polish Federation, who have treated him unfairly in the past.
Jerzy Janowicz’s next scheduled tournament is at the Orleans challenger in France next week.
