Milos Raonic has been forced to pull out of the Acapulco event, citing the hamstring injury sustained in Delray Beach as the reason. The Canadian World No. 4 was forced to pull out of the final with Jack Sock in Florida and clearly will not recover in time to feature in Mexico.
Raonic has a history of injuries troubling him, most notably a foot injury that required surgery in 2015, and a shoulder injury that saw him wear an iconic protective sleeve through much of 2016.
The fact that Raonic was forced to pull out of a final without even contesting the match, is worrying as players rarely pull out of such high profile events without serious injuries. Add in that he will also not feature in Acapulco means that Raonic must now be considered a big doubt to feature in the first two Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami, due to take place in the next few weeks.
