The ATP and the French tennis equipment manufacturer Tecnifibre have announced that they will extend their partnership until 2020.
The tennis equipment manufacturer, based in Paris, will keep on producing Official racquets, strings, bags and accessories for the ATP World Tour, and will remain a Silver Partner of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. Tecnifibre will also remain the official stringing service of the year-end tournament.

Tecnifibre offers a terrific range of co-branded performance products and has provided a world class level of service to our players as the Official Stringer of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership for a further three years,.” Chris Kermode, ATP Executive Chairman and President said.
Tecnifibre was founded in 1979 by Thierry Maissan, the current CEO of the company. Over the years that have become one of the biggest sports equipment names in the world of tennis and squash.
“We do not change a winning combination! Tecnifibre looks to develop internationally and the ATP is a worldwide platform. In addition, our “On the Road” programme compliments the vision of the ATP. It is a partnership which allows us to add value to our products and which gives us unique opportunities for brand content. It was therefore logical to extend the partnership.” Said managing director Pierr Bayssat.
The partnership will see the continuation of the “On the Road” ATP World Tour Programme, with also Young Guns contest, a commercial initiative targeted towards younger players and fans. The programme emphasizes the player performance, combined with social media involvement, allowing fans to look at the progress of the younger players.
This year Daniil Medvedev was the second recipient of the annual ‘Young Guns’ award. This season has seen the Russian player rise over 200 ranking places from 329 to 98. Medvedev won his maiden Challenger title in St Remy, France. He also reached another Challenger final in Portoroz, Poland and claimed a Futures title in Switzerland. On the ATP Tour he stunned Viktor Troicki to reach the quarter-finals of the Moscow Open in October.
As a result of the reward, Medvedev has been awarded a $50,000 grant from Tecnifibre.
