The entry list for the Shanghai Master 1000 in China has come out.
The tournament will be played from the 9th to the 16th of October, closing the Asian season. World’s number one Novak Djokovic is the defending champion, while French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is the former finalist.
Roger Federer, who has decided to call an end to his season, has surprisingly entered it (but might withdraw).
Serbian Janko Tipsarevic and German Florian Mayer have used their Protected Ranking to get in the main draw directly. With an original cut-off of 42, last direct acceptance is French Nicolas Mahut, while first alternate is Argentinian Federico Delbonis.
