Three-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams has crowned her incredible season with another prestigious award. After the Associated Press Award Serena was voted the “Champion of Champions” by the journalists of the popular French newspaper L’ Equipe. The US tennis legend, who won five titles at the Australian Open, the Roland Garros, Wimbledon, Miami and Cincinnati, won the women’s award ahead of five-time swimming champion Katie Ledecki, who won this vote last year. Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt, three-time world champion in the 100m, 200m and 4×100 relay, won the “Champion of Champions” Award for the for the fourth time in the men’s category beating Novak Djokovic.
