World Number 1 Novak Djokovic cruised past Martin Klizan 6-2 6-1 in one hour and three minutes in his debut in the second round in Master 1000 in Shanghai one week after his sixth triumph in Beijing where he extended his record to 29 consecutive winning matches dropping just 18 games in five matches.
In his debut in Shanghai Djokovic was unstoppable. He converted five of his ten break point chances and dropped just one point with his second serve
Nole got a double break in just 10 minutes en route to cruising to a 4-0 lead. Klizan recovered one of the two breaks to win the next two games. At 5-2 Djokovic broke for the third time to seal the first set. The second set followed a similar pattern. Klizan dropped two consecutive service games. Djokovic cruised to a 4-0 lead en route to his commanding 6-1.
With this win Djokovic has extended his winning streak to 13 matches. He is bidding to score his second Beijing- Shanghai double for the third time after 2012 and 2013.
