Andy Murray won over Slovenian Blaz Rola at a canter dropping just two games in front of the Highness Duchess of Cornwall at Wimbledon’ Court One. It was routine win for Murray who hit seven aces and 27 winners to improve his record to 38 match wins at the All-England Club. Rola, a graduate at the Ohio State University, is making his debut at Wimbledon after starting his career on tour last year. Murray won his ninth consecutive match at Church Road.

Murray capitalized on a double fault by Rola with a backhand winner and broke serve for the first time in the match after three minutes. Murray strolled to a easy 4-1 lead with a backhand lob and a forehand pass before breaking for the third time in the match to close out the first set after 27 minutes.

Murray cruised to a easy 5-0 in the second set before Rola managed to win his first game of the second set where he won just 16 percent of second serve points. Murray wrapped up the second set after one hour. He broke twice in the third set with forehand winners down the line.

Murray converted 8 of his 13 points break points and won 79 percent of his first serve points. He hit 27 winners and committed 13 unforced errors.

Murray will take on either Czech qualifier Jan Hernych or Roberto Bautista Agut who won last week a grass tournament at s’Hertogenbosch

I played well today. This is the first year he has played on grass. He has just come out of college and broken into the top 100. It was tough for him because he doesn’t have a lot of grass court experience. but he will definitely keep improving.

If you can finish matches as quickly as possible, it helps. I am sure Amelie Mauresmo will be happy with that, but we will have a chat this afternoon. I will rest up and get ready for the next round.
