TENNIS Internazionali BNL d’Italia – M. Raonic d. J. Chardy 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. An interview with Milos Raonic.
Q: Quarter-final in Montecarlo, semi-final here: are you becoming a clay court player? And who should you prefer to meet tomorrow?
MILOS RAONIC: Whoever I play, whatever I say now doesn’t matter because they still have to play their matches and nobody is going0 to listen me. And yes, I am doing much more better on clay and I am very happy.
Q: Where do you think you improved most?
MILOS RAONIC: Movements, returns, generally I am becoming better and also how I deal with the difficult situations, the mental side as well.
Q: You 2nd set today was probably the worst of the tournament…
MILOS RAONIC: …yes but it was very good for the mental aspect. I know these breaks was very uncharacteristic and faulty by my side. I was sort of bottom down and have to find a way through….and I was able to do much more better in the 3rd.
Q: Novak or Ferrer, what do you see I your next match?
MILOS RAONIC: Both guys, difficult matches. I played David twice and Novak once. If I can control the centre of the court, if I really be the one dictating and take care of my service it’s going to be very important.
Q: Is it true you are running for the Atp Council?
MILOS RAONIC: Yes. It’s good to know what’s really going on and not in a negative way. The Council is a little bit on the older side, a lot of facts do change and will be affecting us for longer than they will the guys on the Council.
Q: Do you have any specific issue?
MILOS RAONIC: I don’t have necessarily a clear understanding but definitely there’s something I would want to…..but I don’t have older informations to know what ideas would it be and how to go with them.
