TENNIS – Novak Djokovic won his first two matches at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters dropping just two games. The defending champion faces Guillermo Garcia Lopez today to try and book his place in the semifinal against either Tsonga or Federer. From Monte-Carlo Lucia Hoffman

Novak on his first two matches in Monte Carlo, which he won in less than 50 minutes.

“Lost only two games in the first two matches. Can’t be better than this, for sure,” said Djokovic. “I don’t want to get carried away. I am confident on the court. I’m coming off a great American hard court season. I want to keep that going.”

About his next opponent today:

“Another clay court specialist, another match which I approach with an aggressive mindset in terms of game plan,” said Djokovic. “I have already great variety in the game, which is one of the key components for an optimal success on this surface. You need to be able to play equally well defensively and offensively. That’s something I was doing quite well in the first two rounds.”
